Mom-to-be Mariah Carey is showing us that motherhood isn't going to stop her from focusing on her career.

Though Mimi has reportedly turned down a spot as a judge on Simon Cowell's debut season of X-Factor US, she did so because she wants to use the time to concentrate on her family and work on her next album, sources say.

There is still plenty of speculation about who will join the panel of judges on the new talent show. Big Cheese at Def Jam, L.A. Ried, has been confirmed and rumor has it Nicki Minaj, who joined Carey on the track "Up Out My Face" is also being considered.
